How to Make Donuts with Pancake Mix
- 2 cups pancake mix
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Sprinkles, powdered sugar, or glaze for topping (optional)
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the pancake mix, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined and the batter is smooth.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Using a piping bag or a ziplock bag with the corner cut off, pipe the batter into a donut shape directly into the hot oil. If you don’t have a piping bag, you can also shape the batter into small donut shapes with your hands.
- Fry the donuts for about 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown. Use a slotted spoon or tongs to carefully flip and remove them from the oil.
- Place the cooked donuts on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.
- If desired, while the donuts are still warm, roll them in sprinkles, powdered sugar, or dip them into a glaze of your choice.
- Enjoy your delicious homemade donuts!
Note: Be cautious while working with hot oil. Ensure you have proper ventilation and do not leave the oil unattended.
